Render Me Speechless 4
Walk into an acoustic-focused classroom
This classroom is bright and colorful, but more importantly, it is focused on acoustic performance. This space is designed with the intent to boost the academic performance of children who experience learning problems, as well as the students who do not. Behind acoustic perception is architectural design, which ultimately decides how sound waves interact within a room. Elements like room size, room shape, and surface treatments influence acoustics and effect both students and teachers psychologically while they are communicating within a space. Room size and shape, as well as room surfaces and textures, can end up making the biggest difference in the cognitive abilities of students.
